چکیده
In the present study, Mg-Al layered double hydroxide (Mg-Al/LDH) was synthesized on surface of AZ31 Mg alloy substrate via in-situ hydrothermal treatment. Synthesis parameters were changed to determine their effect lateral size LDH. For this purpose, etching in nitric acid and anodizing sodium solution performed as pretreatments. Moreover, influence LDH pH (10 11) coating investigated. Morphology, chemical composition, crystalline structure characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, diffraction (XRD). The corrosion resistance coatings investigated H2 measurements, salt spray, electrochemical impedance (EIS). epoxy applied best anti-corrosive sample for assessing compatibility effectiveness properties with layer. At = 11, smaller than samples at 10. addition, small-sized LDH, well LDH/epoxy coating, revealed enhanced protection.

Due to their excellent biodegradability characteristics, Mg and Mg-based alloys have become an emerging material in biomedical implants, notably for repair of bone as well as coronary arterial stents. However, the main problem with Mg-based alloys is their rapid corrosion in aggressive environments such as human bodily fluids. Previously, many approaches such as control of alloying materials, c...
متن کاملCorrosion Resistance of the Superhydrophobic Mg(OH)2/Mg-Al Layered Double Hydroxide Coatings on Magnesium Alloys
Coatings of the Mg(OH)2/Mg-Al layered double hydroxide (LDH) composite were formed by a combined co-precipitation method and hydrothermal process on the AZ31 alloy substrate in alkaline condition. Subsequently, a superhydrophobic surface was successfully constructed to modify the composite coatings on the AZ31 alloy substrate using stearic acid. The characteristics of the composite coatings wer...

Structured surfaces exhibit functional properties that can enhance the performance of a bioimplant in terms of biocompatibility, adhesion, or corrosion behavior. In order to tailor the surface property, chemical and physical methods can be used in a sequence of many steps. On the other hand, laser surface processing can provide a single step solution to achieve the designated surface function w...
متن کاملResponse Surface Methodology for Optimizing Adsorption Process Parameters of Amaranth Removal Using Magnetic Layer Double Hydroxide (Fe3O4/ZnFe-LDH)
ABSTRACT Response surface methodology was employed to optimize the adsorption parameters of Amaranth onto magnetic layer double hydroxide (Fe3O4/ZnFe-LDH). Such optimization was undertaken to ensure a high efficiency over the experimental ranges employed, and to evaluate the interactive effects of the initial concentration of Amaranth, pH, adsorbent dosage, temperature and contact time on...
